Firm, focused and surprisingly youthful-seeming, this Pinot opens with aromas of Bing cherry, red plum, lingonberry, mace, hazelnut and suggestions of orange peel and low-key minerality. Bing cherry, sour red cherry, red plum, and hints of blood orange, mace and hazelnut husk flavors fan out on the palate, showing fine length. There are mineral notes and good zest to firm the finish and keep things dinner friendly for current service, and the wine should still improve for another eighteen months.
