The nose this fancy Chardonnay is a plush, forthcoming medley of tarte tatin, peaches and cream, lemon cream pie, nutmeg and hazelnut meringue scents. Youthful firmness and zest rob some of the luxurious richness on the palate and in the finish, so it will likely take another twelve to eighteen months for all the sweet fruit and creamy spice to fully catch up to the opulent aromas. Nevertheless, it will make a great food companion already, especially if paired with a richly sauced entree.
