More floral and a bit less evolved than their simpler 2022 Anderson Valley bottling (from this same vineyard), the 2022 Nash Mill offers genteel, focused aromas that center on cranberry sauce, raspberry coulis, pink rose, canela and a hint of licorice root. The fruit is brighter and the texture a bit gripping in the mouth, where the flavors are delicious although they still seem a bit youthfully reserved. The finish is very long and with airing grows very expressive, adding-in notes of orange zest, whortleberry and star anise at the end. This potential beauty wants eighteen to thirty months to deliver all the graceful, sophisticated character that is suggested. 150 cases produced.
