This classy Pinot Noir may be youthful, but it is complex and intriguing already, as the sweet red cherry and cranberry sauce aromas that dominate the nose are deepened by emerging scents of strawberry, pink rose, sumac berry, cardamom and suggestions of baking spice and hazelnut. All these elements are echoed in the mouth and they further flesh out as the wine airs, although it’s polished tannins and youthful freshness keep the texture racy. The flavors linger nicely, and another eighteen months of cellar time will prove that this bottling is considerably underpriced. It is already a very attractive dinner wine, especially if allowed a bit of air. 723 cases produced.
