Rombauer's 2020 Zinfandel is 87% Sierra Foothills, with the remainder of the fruit coming from Napa and Lake Counties; approximately half the fruit is from the family's own vineyards. Aged primarily in older wood (less than 10% new oak), it's a full-bodied, fruit-forward effort, marked by blackberries and mulberries. Gentle earth and briar notions bring just a bit of complexity to the table, while the texture is plush and ripe, the finish softly dusty and long. Drink Date: 2023 - 2030 Joe Czerwinski
