2022 is a vintage where this well regarded mountain Pinot has lots of energy and enough engaging fruit to gracefully dominate its mineral and savory underpinnings. The nose offers balanced measures of red raspberry, pomegranate, cranberry sauce and bottled red cherry, which rise above notes of pink peppercorn, toffee, hazelnut husk and some sharp mineral undercurrents. There is a fine mirroring of these elements on the palate that carries through an extremely long, focused and flavor-laden finish, where ripe berries, savory spice, tannin and minerality all find amiable harmony. Delicious now, it will be much more so in eighteen to thirty months. 400 cases produced.
