2022 Pisoni Estate Pinot Noir, Santa Lucia Highlands

Sourced from low-yielding blocks on the Pisoni Estate—one of the highest elevation vineyards in the Santa Lucia Highlands at approximately 396 metres — where vines are rooted in decomposed granite soils with schist and quartz, and shaped by heavy fog influence. Just 14.6 hectares of vines are sustainably farmed. The wine is native fermented with 45% whole cluster and aged in 100% French oak, 65% of which is new. Ripe strawberry, cherry, and raspberry fruit find their footing on the palate, settling atop a bed of velvety tannins and a firm spine of racy acidity. Nuances of espresso bean, rose petal, and spicy rose stem build into a finish of cocoa powder, loamy earth, and wet river stones, leaving you wanting more. Drinking Window: 2025 - 2033.
