Despite vigorous swirling the aromas of this wine remain closed. Fruit concentration becomes apparent on the off-dry palate that offers the impression of ripe, juicy and mellow pear. The off-dry style homes in on the ripeness and accentuates the slight alcoholic heat. This powerful, smooth wine nonetheless has lovely freshness. — Anne Krebiehl MW 11/1/2020
