Very forthcoming and truly elegant, the nose of this beauty melds white peach, baked green apple, Greengage plum, Meyer lemon and hazelnut meringue scents into a captivating harmony. It is wonderfully supple yet just as upfront in character on the palate, where green plum and lemon cream pie flavors take center stage before the apple, peach and poached pear notes at the wine’s core, and richer suggestions of meringue and toasted coconut enhance the impression of depth and richness. Polished and lingering, it is built for service with fish, fowl, or pork enhanced by a rich wine sauce. Splendid now, it will likely be even better next year.
