This is an immediately impressive wine that must only get better over the next two or three years. The aromas jump from the glass as a gorgeously focused, piquant medley of baked green apple, pear skin, white peach, gooseberry, grapefruit pith, lemon curd, pastry crust, nutmeg and hazelnut nougat scents. It is luxuriously flavorful and vibrantly fresh on the palate, with penetrating, lingering flavors of gooseberry, apple, white peach, coconut, pear, grapefruit, hazelnut nougat and toasted meringue.
