This beautifully evolved Pinot Noir is very already delicious. It is textbook Mount Eden vineyard in every way, as for this legendary vineyard 2021 a clearly a great vintage. From the moment the cork is pulled, the aromas pour forth as a lavish display of dark cherry, blood orange, dark dry rose, dried herb and mineral scents. There is plenty of grip and drying minerality on the palate, yet the flavor onset is in no way diminished, as loads of, cherry, raspberry, blood orange, red licorice, dried herb and forest spice join in a grand harmony that carries through a super-long, delicious finish packed with Santa Cruz mountains character and forest floor surprises. Certain to be better still in two or three years. It is a classic in the making.
