Rich and notably classy, the aromas of this stylish Chateauneuf du Pape fan out as a precise medley of strawberry jam, red cherry syrup, red rose, pink and white peppercorn, coriander seed and nougat. It is both lean in texture and juicy on the palate where a more coiled, gripping and mineral-laced presentation of the flavors suggested in the nose is evident. The finish, if initially tightly wrapped, is extremely long, and airing brings forth all that the aromas promise. Ideally dinner-balanced and already food worthy, it will be worth a three year wait for those with a cellar. 100% Grenache, 1000 cases produced.
