This is a great Zinfandel that really shows everything it has as it airs. The aromas that are revealed are deep, focused, ripe, zesty and complex, and they fan out as a harmonious medley of black cherry, boysenberry, black raspberry, Elephant Heart plum jam, violet, licorice root, pink, black and Schezuan peppercorn and dark earthy spice. On the palate, those flavors are a lavish, gorgeously forthcoming mirror of the precision and harmony offered in the nose. It is super-long on the palate, with wonderful food balance and delicious flavors that easily will stand alone as well.
