Quite possibly worth its exalted price, this 2023 is a great Sauvignon Blanc. It is intensely varietal, distinctive, concentrated and wonderfully harmonious. The aromas are a splendid medley of fresh green fig, gooseberry, Crenshaw melon, white pepper, lemon grass, parsley and bright citric scents. Fruit notes dominate on the palate, bringing a sweetening to the core flavors and also to the long mineral and spice-accented finish. Delicious now, it will grow more so for several more years. A blend of 74% Sauvignon Musque and 26% Sauvignon Blanc.
