Vibrantly fresh and as rich in minerality as a Grand Cru Chablis, this bottling opens with aromas of flint, slate, fresh apple, white peach, orange zest and lemon above a rich yet more subtle undercurrent of vanilla cream. On the palate, the same notes are replicated with chiseled focus and super length, as the wine layers a push of peach, apple and vanilla pudding flavors upon a creamy texture that is balanced by an attractively tense mouthfeel. This is a brilliant dinner wine already, especially with sea foods, and it should grow ever finer for several years. It beautifully captures the character of this famous vineyard. 72 cases produced.
