This wine has the expected Friulano brightness, yet demonstrates fine evolution in its forthcoming aromas of ripe melon, dried apple, preserved lemon and floral highlights, all of which rise gracefully above an earthy-minerally background. Things prove surprisingly tongue-coating in the mouth, where the earthy undercurrent is more prominent, as is the fruit. Melon, dried fruit and honey flavors take center stage and linger well in the finish, while natural zest and mineral notes keep the finish dry and food-worthy.
