Optimally ripe and full of classic Oakville fruit and spice from the opening sniff, this terrific Cabernet offers luxurious aromas of creme de cassis, blackberry, black currant, pomegranate syrup, licorice root, sweet tobacco, graphite, toasted cedar and nutmeg. On the palate it proves as tongue-coating, plush in fruit and rich in oaky goodness as the aromas promise, and delivers deeply-etched flavors of dark sour cherry, black raspberry, cassis, tobacco, licorice root, dried herbs supported by the expected Oakville mineral stamp. Flavor and richness flood the mouth to linger above a richly tannic undercurrent. This already delicious wine will certainly improve for at least three more years. 225 cases produced.
